Generation Ginger’s Launch Party, Where Are You From?, Friday June 10, 8-midnight at la Esquina, 1000 West 25th Street, KCMO, is the final event of It’s All Yours, a collaborative event series exploring the community within and around la Esquina and celebrating a spectrum of creative interests among neighbors and businesses.

The night’s journey begins with a brief lecture examining the question, “Where are you from?” as it relates to cultural identity development, followed by a modern story telling of an Indian tale through collaborative arts performance integrating the beauty of East and West. Performers include Ritu Nanos, Generation Ginger founder; Ann Shaugnessy, City in Motion Dance School; Hema Sharma, owner of Nritya School of Dance; visual artist Mark Bacon; and musicians Mike Harte and Jared Bond. Afterwards, the party continues with hands on activities related to Indian culture and music by a local band, Root and Stem.
