Charlotte Street Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the 2012 Visual Artist Awards Exhibition on October 12, 6-8pm at the H&R Block Artspace. The exhibition features new work by Kansas City based artists Marcus Cain, Anne Austin Pearce, and Luke Rocha, who received unrestricted cash grants of $10,000 each earlier this year. A curatorial panel of Awards Advisors selected the artists following studio visits with ten semi-finalists from an original pool of 125 applicants. Over its 15 years, Charlotte Street Foundation has recognized 77 Kansas City based visual artists with Charlotte Street Visual Artist Awards, totaling $512,500.
