DON’T MISS A GALLERY TALK ON THE STENCH OF ROTTING FLOWERS, SATURDAY MAY 17 AT 2PM

On Saturday, May 17, from 2-4pm at la Esquina, join 2013-14 Charlotte Street Foundation Curator-in-Residence Danny Orendorff as he leads a gallery tour of his current exhibition The Stench of Rotting Flowers with artists Marie Bannerot-McInerney, Rain Harris, Peregrine Honig, and Jeff Tackett. Orendorff will provide an overview of the exhibition’s themes and concerns, particularly regarding unconventional approaches to mourning and sadness as represented by the simultaneously sincere and satirical artworks on view. During the gallery tour, each of the exhibiting artists on hand will speak about their artwork and its relationship to the larger exhibition. Questions and answers to follow.
