Charlotte Street’s Studio Residency Program Open Studios Weekend is the program’s largest annual event, hosting more than 500 visitors over two days. Through this unique event, the public is invited into the studios of Charlotte Street’s resident artists for an intimate opportunity to interact with the artists in their working environments.

Open Studios Weekend 2015 will spotlight the work of over 50 artists, including 21 visual artists, 11 performing artists and ensembles, and five writers. All have been awarded free studio space and related support through Charlotte Street Studio Residency Program for the period September 2014-August 2015. Special offerings include an array of original live music and dance performances on Friday evening, readings of new fiction and non-fiction by writers-in-residence on Saturday afternoon, and special gallery hours and performances with current exhibition 1 Infinite Loop at Charlotte Street’s nearby Paragraph Gallery and Project Space. 1 Infinite Loop is the inaugural exhibition of the Charlotte Street Studio Residency Visiting Curator Series, featuring the work of Studio Residents curated by local artists and arts professionals.
