Curatorial Construct:

This exhibition presents a collective portrait of an idealized future, formed from the intersection of vision and action. Visionaries imagine and define utopias alongside activists that take risks and actions to make alternate futures possible. Both serve as catalysts that initiate and facilitate a positive change. Parallel universes, magical realism, optimism, and activism coexist to create a space where one can be immersed in the notion of a societal shift. We are creating a space in which amazing things can and do happen.

Submission Process:
Seeking submissions from visual and performing artists of all media and career stages, collaborative, publications, and writers also welcome to submit or propose programming or projects.

   — Visual artists: submit 1 to 5 1MB flat JPEGs of proposed work, along with the following descriptive information: dimensions, media, and year work was created.
   — For time-based work, please submit a link to an uploaded video, no more than 5 minutes.
   — For written works–please submit writing samples as a .doc or .pdf file.
   — For proposed projects and programming, please submit a PDF that includes a short (1-2 paragraphs) concise written project description. Your submission should also include 1 to 5 high res images that are representative of the  work, or indicate the aesthetic direction of the final work (for example, this can include previous work, sketches,  reference photos, etc.)

Timeline:
Submission of work: May 25 – June 30
Selection notification: July 5
ALL materials needed by: August 8
Work dropoff: September 16
Exhibition opening & reception: September 23
Exhibition close: October 29
Work pickup/ship out: October 30-early November
