Statement of Work

I found my current project, the RoughTet, to explore new territories in written and improvised music. I also brought in guest artists and their compositions to expand the parameters of the music. In addition to being a life-long student of music, I am also a visual artist.

In my past experience, I have made some great music with individuals who professed to me that they didn’t know anything about music and then turned around and made great sounds. When given a simple instrument to play it is amazing the music that a so-called nonmusician can create. The experience of making music should not be available only to full-time musicians.
