Statement of Work

Connie is an artist, designer, and adventure cartographer. Her work often reflects her Peruvian heritage and inspiration to create community growth through visuals and communication. As a community member Connie is currently serving as a board member of the Douglas County Food Policy Council. She has been selected as one of 13 nationwide Latinx to attend the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture: 2018 Advocacy Leadership Institute in D.C. She is a proud to be the first KS resident NALAC ALI Fellow. With the support of Rocket Grants; Connie has lead the WAK’Ó MUJERES PHỤ NỮ WOMXN MURAL located outside the Lawrence Public Library. Connie is a coordinating member of the Eastside People's Intercultural Center in Lawrence KS.

Equally applying universal interventions may not address the specific needs of some populations facing systemic barriers and disadvantage.
