Statement of Work

The variety of imagery that inspires and influences my work range from biology, anatomical studies, stained glass windows, marquees, church signs, and sacred structures. I make use of glitter, lights, and shiny materials in an attempt to transform situations. From guts to glory, throwing glitter over blood, phlegm and tears. I was born with a life threatening diagnosis, and received a double lung transplant at 37 years old. My work, like my body, is infused with shiny, health cells and DNA. I use a baroque influenced approach in an attempt to find hope amidst seeming hopelessness.
