Statement of Work

The privilege to call myself a writer is only as meaningful as the service I can provide as one. Only through this work have I learned that the purpose of my discipline is not simply to write graphically, but to listen, collaborate, and lend a voice to muted human desires, experiences, and pathologies. I practice the art of writing fiction, the cultivating act of oral and aural storytelling that predates the modern screen.

My vision for my writing is the seamless blending of the personal, the critical, and the fictional, creating pieces that self-justify, impel the reader, and provide a vehicle for the stories we try to convey every day, all at once. For without event, audience, and venue, literary art cannot survive.
