In the spirit of agricultural scientist George Washington Carver, artist Ryan Tenney invites us to appreciate the beauty and gifts of our non-human relatives. In a family-friendly workshop, participants will make beautiful organic inks from the Black Walnut, commonly found in Kansas City, to create block prints of a Black Agrarian future. Tenney is a returning generation farmer and owner of Sankara Farm founded in 2017. He is also the founder of community-based arts organization, AgroArt which specializes in creative socio ecological intervention strategies.

Advanced registration required. Family-friendly program. Children under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult.
