Back to School Drive

Join us for a Back–to–School Drive at Charlotte Street as we celebrate the close of another season of Block Party Club and prepare for the school year ahead.

This community gathering will feature a school supply drive, clothing swap, local vendors, creative activities, and resources for students and families. Whether you’re looking to donate, connect with neighbors, stock up on essentials, or simply celebrate the end of summer, there’s something for everyone.

Come help us send students into the new school year feeling supported, equipped, and inspired.

Connect with community organizations including CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Hold ‘Em Up 4 Care, Happy Bottoms, and Our Spot. Enjoy music from DJ OSHAE alongside a hands-on zine-making activity led by Anthony Procopio-Ross and indigo dyeing with Cherline Philogene. The school supply drive is supported by Scraps KC, the book swap is made possible by Lead to Read KC, and snacks will be provided by Ah’Leisha’s Cookie Co.
