Charlotte Street presents Disturbances in the Field as a visual exhibition offering a break from the ordinary from May 8th to June 13th, 2015.

The participants are Cyrus Console, Scott Dickson, Casey Dobbins, Leo Esquivel, Amanda Gehin, Shawn E. Hansen, Erika Lynne Hanson, Hannah Jickling & Helen Reed, Judith G. Levy, Sarah Lewison & duskin drum, Vanessa Norton. It is curated by Lacey Wozny.

Wednesday, May 13th, 8:00 PM: Shawn E, Hansen presents: Sycamore House Music Series with Daniel Bachman (Virginia), Ignatz (Belgium), and Mike Stover (KC) $8

Saturday, May 23, 1:00 PM: Control Losing; exercises for melting–or–Some discursive seed bombs with Sarah Lewison (Illinois) & duskin drum (California) share from their work on being in a time of melting. Free and open to the public.

Saturday, May 30, 1-4 PM: Linked Verse in Plein Air is a workshop inspired by renga, collaborative Japanese poetry, led by Cyrus Console (KC). Works generated will feature in Open Complication. Free with RSVP: [email protected]

Saturday, June 6, 2-4 PM: Open Compilation Day; peruse the exhibition and make your own compilation. Book-binding tutorial and supplies provided as well as tea and snacks. Free and open to the public.

Wednesday, June 10, 7:00 PM: Disrupted Patterns & Edge Harmonics with Amanda Gehin (KC), artist, and Stephen Van Rhein (KC), ecologist, explore the harmonies found along edges, boundaries, and margins aka edge harmonics. Free and open to the public.
