An "Every Street Is Charlotte Street" Composers Showcase

The Charlotte Street Foundation presents a one night only performance featuring five Kansas City player composers at the historic Folly Theatre Saturday, Sept. 30th. “Time’s Not Listening” features original works by past CSF award winners, Patrick Alonzo Conway, Brad Cox, Amado Espinoza, Jeff Harshbarger, and Ashley Miller. The composers will collaborate and perform new bodies of work in celebration of Charlotte Street’s 20th Anniversary. “Time’s Not Listening” will be a musical exploration that will challenge the perception of what time and space mean to you. This special event features players who will open your mind with hypnotic and melodic performances. You can expect to see a wide variety of experiences from Andean music to trance throughout the evening. “Time’s Not Listening” is produced through the support of the Metzler-Copaken Initiative Grant. The program is also supported by The City of Kansas City, Missouri Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund.
