EMAS Presents: Extra Large Experimental Big Band

Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 7:30-9:00 PM

For the final EMAS Presents of the year, EMAS will be putting together a large ensemble of members of the Kansas City jazz and experimental music scenes entitled the Extra Large Experimental Big Band. In the tradition of improvised music collectives and groups like the AACM and ICP, the ELEBB is a way to bring together a community of musicians for a common goal and navigate performing together in a large setting.

Performers with the ELEBB are: Shanté Clair, Brad Cox, Ben Baker, Krista Kopper, Aaron Osborne, Seth Andrew Davis, Evan Verploegh, John Kizilarmut, Kaydee Gabel, Matthew Brahl, Kelley Gant, Leslie Butsch, Zak Pischnotte, Nick Howell, Ryan Heinlein, and Mike Stover
