Hi-Fi House | Virtual Presentation: "Good Listeners"

We are excited to announce our 2022 program partnership and collaboration with Hi-Fi House! Join Hi-Fi House as they present about their Social Listening Library Experiment that was based in Omaha, Nebraska 2015-2020.

We will share time on an important question that was effortlessly illuminated through the experiences that their listening library offered: What is the importance of listening together?

ABOUT CSF X HI-FI HOUSE

The CSF x Hi-Fi House Listening Parties will introduce Hi-Fi’s unique vision of social listening to a new audience of KCMO-based listeners. Multidisciplinary artists from the central Midwest region will be invited to select music and host a Listening Party in Charlotte Street’s small meeting room later this year!

Hope-Lian Vinson

Hope-Lian Vinson is a Kansas City-based visual artist whose works recast elements of the built environment to explore internal narratives of history and identity. With a B.F.A in Painting, Art History, and a Social Practice Certificate from the Kansas City Art Institute, Hope-Lian works at the intersections of art and ecology by using locally-sourced clay and natural materials to reference place and geological processes. They have showcased works in MdW Atlas, SITE ONE, Sapien Gallery, and have recently returned from the Chop Wood Carry Water arts residency in the Driftless region of NW Illinois. They currently serve as the Marketing + Communications Manager at Charlotte Street, where they use their artistic background in community-organizing to provide critical support for Charlotte Street programs and initiatives.
