CSF’s Urban Culture Project is thrilled to be hosting Let’s Paint TV, a live internet television show starring Los Angeles-based artist and cult phenomenon John Kilduff.  Begun as a public access television show in Los Angeles and now a YouTube sensation, Let’s Paint TV stars Kilduff, who paints, blends drinks, answers phone calls, and completes a variety of other tasks — all while wearing a suit and running on a treadmill.

Let’s Paint TV will be taped and streamed live (at www.letspainttv.com) from Urban Culture Project Space, 21 East 12th Street. Open to the public, live shows are Tuesday November 17 through November 24, from 6-7pm each day. Each show will feature an array of local talents as guest stars. Third Friday, November 20 features a reception from 6-9pm, with a special live show at 9pmRead full press release. See the schedule of daily guest stars!

About John Kilduff:

John Kilduff received his MFA from UCLA and his BFA from Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles. His paintings have been presented in solo exhibitions at venues including Jancar Gallery, Los Angeles; Brand Library, Glendale, CA; and Ojala Gallery, Los Angeles; and in group exhibitions at Embassy Gallery, Edinburgh, Scottland; Black Dragon Society, Los Angeles; Lois Lambert Gallery, Santa Monica; OSP Gallery, Boston, MA; and at the San Diego Museum of Art, among many others.

Let’s Paint TV originally began airing on Public Access TV in Los Angeles in 2001, with the last episode of the cable access version of Let’s Paint TV recorded live December 6, 2008. (The cable access studios in the City of Los Angeles shut down on December 31, 2008.) Let’s Paint TV is now being seen live daily on the internet, Monday-Friday 1 – 2:30pm CT. John Kilduff has also been seen on The Tyra Banks Show, where he painted Tyra’s portrait. He also appeared on the Red carpet for VH1 2006 Big Awards and painted David Hasselhoff’s portrait on “America’s Got Talent” season two. Visit www.letspainttv.com for much more information.
