Come celebrate with Making Moves! On December 8th, Making Moves celebrates the end of a successful year of programming with an evening of improvised music and dance.

The Improv Jam will feature live music from Seth Andrew Davis & Evan Verploegh and live lighting design from Ian VanDusen. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and to bring water. This experience is appropriate for dancers and movers of all abilities and backgrounds and is open to all. The Improv Jam takes place in Charlotte Street Foundation’s Stern Theater (3333 Wyoming), begins at 6:30pm, and will last for approximately one hour.

Making Moves is a monthly dance performance series located in Kansas City, MO, curated and produced by Kyle Mullins. Making Moves is dedicated to the creation and development of new works by local and regional dance makers and to expose Kansas City audiences to a wider array of contemporary dance making.

Making Moves provides area choreographers, dancers, and audiences the opportunity to share in the process of new and experimental work in both traditional and non-traditional performance venues. Experimentation, risk-taking, collaboration, and multi-disciplinary approaches are encouraged.
