Numerous artists featured in Charlotte Street’s upcoming exhibition SITE Seeing think about the model; as methods for building subject matter and planning installations. Growing out of sculptural methods he uses in his practice, Caleb Taylor will lead a workshop in modular paper folding with an emphasis on two and three-dimensional pattern-making. Following a discussion on the roles of model-making in the exhibition, participants will work together to create a site-specific intervention in the Kemper Library at Charlotte Street.

ABOUT SITE SEEING

SITE Seeing is a multidisciplinary exhibition connecting artists from Kansas City, Chicago, Portland, New York, and Los Angeles who are working at the intersections of architecture, site-specificity, abstraction, and perception. The ten artists and architects bridge geographies, philosophies, and material conditions to expand the meanings of space and address how identity and content is formed through this research.
