ProdoLAB: Jester's Privilege - Charlotte Street

Join us for a night of music and immersive video installation with artists J. Ashley Miller, Keith Mueller, and Alec Nicholas as a part Charlotte Street’s ProdoLAB series.

For one night only, audiences are invited to experience Jester’s Privilege, following the personal journey of J. Ashley through the tales of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection. Accompanied by vivid oil and water projections by Keith Mueller, and an immersive set design by Alec Nicholas, Jester’s Privilege is a lucid experience and transformation of Charlotte Street’s Stern Theater.

ProdoLAB is a monthly experimental platform in partnership with musician/composer Eddie Moore that pairs Kansas City time-based artists, producers, and musicians to collaborate on a new piece for a one-night-only showcase at Charlotte Street. Each performance is followed by a Q&A session with the artists.

Hope-Lian Vinson

Hope-Lian Vinson is a Kansas City-based visual artist whose works recast elements of the built environment to explore internal narratives of history and identity. With a B.F.A in Painting, Art History, and a Social Practice Certificate from the Kansas City Art Institute, Hope-Lian works at the intersections of art and ecology by using locally-sourced clay and natural materials to reference place and geological processes. They have showcased works in MdW Atlas, SITE ONE, Sapien Gallery, and have recently returned from the Chop Wood Carry Water arts residency in the Driftless region of NW Illinois. They currently serve as the Marketing + Communications Manager at Charlotte Street, where they use their artistic background in community-organizing to provide critical support for Charlotte Street programs and initiatives.
