“Input/Output” is the latest installment in the Charlotte Street’s ProdoLAB series, bringing together musician-inventor Camry Ivory and new media artist Ian O’Neill for a collaborative exploration of signal, sound, and performance. Blurring the lines between performer and machine, the evening features a group of electronic improvisers reacting in real time to one another and the audience, creating an audiovisual network of shared data and expression. Grounded in the belief that technology can be human-focused, “Input/Output” invites participants into a fluid cycle of sound, image, and gesture, reminding us that technology is most powerful when it reflects our humanity.

Performers: Camry Ivory, Ian O’Neill, Keith Wecker, Agrekulture, Kelley Gant, and Seth Davis

ProdoLAB is a bimonthly experimental platform in partnership with musician/composer Eddie Moore that pairs Kansas City time-based artists, producers, and musicians to collaborate on a new piece for a one-night-only showcase at Charlotte Street. Each performance is followed by a Q&A session with the artists.
