rises Zora is an exploration of the urban labyrinth at la Esquina and beyond from May 10th to June 15th, 2013, organized by Charlotte Street Curator-in-Residence Jamilee Polson Lacy.

A multi-venue visual arts project rises Zora features artists and thinkers who illustrate the complexities of the labyrinth as a concept encompassing nearly every aspect of the urban experience. Staging installations, performances, and screenings across the Kansas City metro area, these individuals and collaboratives activate and connect the city’s dynamic spaces in their efforts to navigate the urban labyrinth. For the duration of rises Zora, Charlotte Street’s la Esquina exhibition space operates as an informational hub, archive, and installation center.

rise Zora commences at la Esquina with:

A two-person exhibition featuring Chris Daharsh & Gerry Trilling

And a site-specific installation by David Dowell & James Woodfill
