Celebrate the Solstice under the Sun with Gamelan Genta Kasturi and Friends

The sun rings like giant Balinese gong every 4 minutes 48 seconds as revealed by current helioseismology. Gamelan Genta Kasturi (Studio Residency 2014–2015) and their musical friends bring this solar music to you on the Solstice for a special one-hour performance directed by Patrick Conway (2012 Generative Performing Artist Fellow), Sam Hughes and Dwight Frizzell.

Gamelan Genta Kasturi is Kansas City MO’s community Balinese Semaradana gamelan established in 2003 by I Ketut Gede Asnawa and family.
