Join Michelle Dreyer from Two Tone Press for a zine workshop inspired by the exhibition With Liberty and Justice at Charlotte Street Foundation! In this workshop, participants will create a single zine page using collage materials and other mark-making tools. All materials will be provided by Scraps KC! Each page will be compiled together to create a single zine from the workshop. A copy of the zine will be sent to participants at a later date.

ABOUT MICHELLE DREYER

Michelle is a graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute and started her letterpress print shop in 2005 with the help of her sister, Angela Dreher. Their aesthetic focuses on vibrant colors that incorporate bold typography and hand-carved relief illustrations layered on top of tactile patterns through the use of unconventional materials such as textured wallpaper, fabrics, and other found objects. They use this vision to create products from wedding invitations and business cards for clientele to posters and fine art prints for fun.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

With Liberty and Justice is an exhibition of nine contemporary artists that reflects on the history of America, evaluates gaps in historical knowledge, and questions the mythology of America in the collective imagination. For more information, visit Charlotte Street’s website.
