Charlotte Street Announces Call for Applications: Visual Artist Awards + Generative Performing Awards

Charlotte Street invites artists living in the five-county Greater Kansas City Metro Area to apply for Artist Awards:
—Three Visual Artist Awards of $10,000 apiece
—Two Generative Performing Artist Awards of $10,000 apiece

The Charlotte Street Awards seek to recognize, encourage, and significantly support exceptional Kansas-City based artists through two disciplines: visual artists + generative performing artists.

The intent of the Charlotte Street Visual Artists Awards is to recognize and significantly support Kansas City-based visual artists of all media who are creating exceptional, contemporary work. Providing artists with financial support, critical recognition, and public exposure, these Awards aim to reward artistic accomplishment to date and to support the continued development of artists’ work and careers.

The intent of the Charlotte Street Generative Performing Artist Awards is to recognize, encourage, and significantly support artists creating exceptional new work in the fields of dance, theatre, music, opera, sound art, performance art, multimedia performance, spoken word, puppetry, and hybrid/interdisciplinary versions of all above.

Providing artists with financial support, critical recognition, and public exposure, these Charlotte Street Awards aim to reward artistic accomplishment to date and to support the continued development of artists’ work and careers.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
All applications must be completed online through www.callforentry.org
Title of Visual Artists’ Call: “Charlotte Street Foundation 2015 Visual Artist Awards”
Title of Generative Performing Artists’ Call: “Charlotte Street Foundation: Generative Performance Award 2015”

The deadline for both calls will be Monday, November 17, 2014, at midnight. No late applications will be considered.
