Hear from 2014 Art Omi residency recipient Judith G. Levy + incoming CEC Artslink International Resident Larisa David

Details: Doors will open to the public at 7:20pm, and programming will start at 7:30pm. The event will feature a public talk on two international artist residency programs currently involved with Charlotte Street: Art Omi International Artists Residency and CEC Artslink.

Artist Judith G. Levy will give a brief presentation about her summer 2014 residency at the Art OMI International Artists Residency. Levy was selected by Art Omi’s selection panel to attend as the Charlotte Street Art Omi Fellow, sponsored by Charlotte Street each year and reserved for Kansas City artists. She will share slides and stories of her experience with 24 other artists from around the globe. She will address attending an international residency from the perspective of a working Kansas City artist.

Artist Larisa David will talk about her experience as a CEC Artslink International Resident. David travels to Kansas City from Romania to continue and enhance her site-specific, interdisciplinary projects that develop through artist investigation and community collaboration. Her work invites people to engage in dialogue and engage with their surroundings. In addition to her work with Charlotte Street, David has exhibited across Europe.
