International Resident Larisa David will present 7 Views from the Hill, an installation of audio interviews and reenactments conducted with residents of the Strawberry Hill Neighborhood. David is a visiting artist from Romania who comes to Kansas City through the CEC Artslink program, in partnership with Charlotte Street Foundation. This exhibition represents her work over the past five weeks here.

The audio content recorded with members of the Slavic community from the Hill explores how they relate to this place that is synonymous with their family history and the time of the second wave of immigration to America, as well as reflecting on their identity as American citizens and belonging to particular ethnic collectivities. 7 Views from the Hill will be on view for one day only: Sunday, November 9 from 12pm-5pm at Paragraph Gallery, 23 E. 12th Street in Kansas City, MO.

Attendees are then invited to return on Monday evening to hear from David about her time in Kansas City, and the development of the project. She will hold open gallery hours from 5pm to 8pm, with a public talk at 6pm.
