Saturday, March 7 & Sunday, March 8, 2015, Charlotte Street’s la Esquina will host performances of R v B, a new operetta composed and produced by inter-media performance company Quadrigarum. Featuring six actors and an octet of curated musicians, R v B is an operetta that explores the despair of binary politics and the illusion of choice. The performance will prominently feature two agile drone instruments, known as ‘Chariots’, designed and built by co-founder and conductor of Quadrigarum, J. Ashley Miller.

Utilizing both ancient and modern technologies, Quadrigarum’s site-sensitive performances attempt to unearth the shadows of environment, objects, and human emotion. Video and audio documentation of R v B will occur during each live performance, with footage later being compiled into an ecstatic video narrative of the theatrical event.

Tickets will be sold for $10 at the door of each performance. Doors will open at 7:30pm and seating is limited to 50 guests. Performances will begin promptly at 8:00pm. No late entry will be permitted.
