Charlotte Street Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of 30 artists to its year-long Studio Residency program. The selection consists of six writers, eight performance-based artists, and 16 visual artists. The 2016/2017 residency period begins September, 2016. Charlotte Street Foundation’s Studio Residency Program provides free studios and rehearsal space in downtown, Kansas City, exhibition and mentorships opportunities, and related support as needed to artists of all disciplines.

To kick off the new studio residency term, the public is invited to meet the resident artists and learn about their work at a free “Studio Residents Slide Slam” Wednesday, September, 14th, 7:00PM at Charlotte Street’s La Esquina Gallery, 1000 W 25th Street. This fun, informal evening will feature 3-minute slide presentations by 30 of the incoming studio resident artists—giving a fun introduction to the work, ideas, processes, and personalities of these diverse artists.
