Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 7:30-9:00 PM

Join us for a night of live improvised music, dance and video for this month’s EMAS Presents: Intersect & Interdependence, happening Wednesday, November 15, from 7:30-9:00 PM.

EMAS Presents: Intersect & Interdependence is an improvised performance that combines music and dance through preconceived and pre-planned structures. Each medium has its own history of improvisation and indeterminacy. To go deeper into one’s own practice and craft, it is important to explore other artistic mediums. Four musicians and four dancers will be paired together and will respond to other performers. A live video element will interact with the performance in real time. By combining three mediums together, audiences have the chance to explore the possibilities of each medium’s improvisational language, creating new forms of expression. The concert will be split into two parts with an intermission, marking a change in pace and mood.
