Freestyle returns June 8th for a 2nd Saturday social featuring Kansas City jazz guitarist, Adam Schlozman. Adam is a veteran on the jazz scene. He will share some new songs accompanied by his self-produced beats.

Come and go as you please in the Charlotte Street lobby for a casual afternoon of zine-making with cartoonist, Barbara Lane Tharas, who is featured in the current exhibition Read the Room, on view in the Charlotte Street Gallery. Sketching, writing, and connecting with community are encouraged.

ABOUT ADAM SCHLOZMAN

Adam Schlozman is a jazz guitarist based in Kansas City, Missouri. Through a wide variety of projects and collaborations, Adam has been performing with some of the top jazz players in KC for some time now. His releases as a solo artist are heavily influenced and adapted in the electronic and hip-hop production with roots and formal training in the jazz tradition.

While maintaining a private teaching practice as well as a position at the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Conservatory of Music in the jazz studies program Adam is a regular session player for recording projects and film scores. As a producer, he focuses his time on the self-produced project “schemada”.
