Join us for our upcoming Hi-Fi House: Drawing Party where we will come together to draw and listening to vinyl records.

Hi-Fi House is a project rooted in the belief that every community needs a space dedicated to social listening. This one-of-a-kind experiment created an accessible shared music collection and listening environment in Omaha, Nebraska between 2015 and 2020.

The Charlotte Street x Hi-Fi House Listening Parties will introduce Hi-Fi’s unique vision of social listening to a new audience of Kansas City-based listeners. Multidisciplinary artists from the central Midwest region will be invited to share music from a curated list of vinyl created by Mary Lawson, Jon Ocshner and invited guest artists. At the end of each Listening Party, audiences members will be invited to play a record or two!

Charlotte Street Studio Resident Adams Puryear had the brilliant idea of merging Hi-Fi House’s Listening Parties with drawing.

The experience offered is nothing short of pleasure for Kansas City’s music listeners and visual artists. Though- this must be mentioned- you do not need to have a creative practice to join us!
