ProdoLAB: Becoming the Driver feat. Lava Dreams/ DJ Skeme/ Hunter Silvey

ProdoLAB returns for its third season with a kick-off performance, Becoming the Driver, by musician Lava Dreams, DJ Skeme, and fiber artist Hunter Silvey.

Becoming the Driver is an immersive, transcendental experience filled with color, light, and sound by Lava Dreams, DJ Skeme, and Hunter Silvey. For one night only, the audience will embark on an expedition through space and time, accompanied by live musical performances from Lava Dreams and DJ Skeme, video projections from Lava Dreams, and site-specific installation artwork by intuitive-based, multimedia artist Hunter Silvey.

Join us for a night of music and immersive video installation followed by a reception and artist talkback with musician/producer Eddie Moore and Charlotte Street’s Patrick Alexander.

Doors open at 7:00 PM
Performance starts at 7:30 PM

ABOUT PRODOLAB

ProdoLAB is an experimental platform in partnership with musician/composer Eddie Moore that pairs Kansas City time-based artists, producers, and musicians to collaborate on a one-night-only showcase at Charlotte Street. Each performance is followed by a Q&A session with the artists.

Hope-Lian Vinson

Hope-Lian Vinson is a Kansas City-based visual artist whose works recast elements of the built environment to explore internal narratives of history and identity. With a B.F.A in Painting, Art History, and a Social Practice Certificate from the Kansas City Art Institute, Hope-Lian works at the intersections of art and ecology by using locally-sourced clay and natural materials to reference place and geological processes. They have showcased works in MdW Atlas, SITE ONE, Sapien Gallery, and have recently returned from the Chop Wood Carry Water arts residency in the Driftless region of NW Illinois. They currently serve as the Marketing + Communications Manager at Charlotte Street, where they use their artistic background in community-organizing to provide critical support for Charlotte Street programs and initiatives.
