Statement of Work

In every aspect of our lives, there are moments that are overlooked. My fascination with everyday experience, and notions of the banal and mundane drive my creative process. I am attracted to materials and situations that are beautiful and poignant by circumstance and help to expand our perception of the ordinary. It is in the mediation of these pass-by moments and things that make them meaningful; it is their re-presentation that gives life to the original moment. Breaking down and reconstructing the language of these moments is crucial to my process. By capturing these particular instances and presenting them through objects, installations, and images, I aim to explore our relations to these moments and elaborate on their nuances.
