Statement of Work

My work is rendered in a photorealist style but done at such a small scale that I coin the term "photograph realism." We live in an age where photography is simply something that appears ubiquitously on LCD screens. I aim to produce archival images through paint that celebrate the once traditional photograph and raise its importance into the fine art world. The scale is both intimate and relatable to typical cell phone LCD screens which are inherently intimately tied to their owners. The subject matter ranges from being mostly figurative and portraiture to absolutely anything else that compels me.
