Freestyle returns for the second Saturday social with Elisha Israel + AZ-ONE who will share some “Love and Unity” through the heart-throbbing, conscious roots of Reggae music for the people.

Come and go as you please for a casual afternoon of zine-making and FREE coffee provided by OLEO Coffee pop-up. Stay to listen, tour the exhibition, or drop by the library to make a zine with artist Carlos Ortiz-Gallo.

ABOUT ELISHA ISRAEL + AZ-ONE

 

Elisha Israel and AZ-ONE is an African American KC reggae band, dedicated to bringing heart-throbbing, uplifting, and inspirational music to the people. Elisha Israel came to Kansas City in 1987 with his bass in hand and immediately began working with the local reggae musicians to form the band AZ-ONE. Since then, AZ-ONE has performed with numerous regional and international acts (Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytals, Burning Spear) across the country in shows ranging from small clubs to large festivals. The group prides itself on sticking to socially-conscious roots Reggae. AZ-ONE has continued the mission of spreading the message of “Love and Unity” through the heart-throbbing and inspirational Reggae music they bring to the people.
